Panissières lies on an ancient road that linked two provinces: Forez and Beaujolais. Over the centuries, the old walled village has been transformed into a modern town with a high level of industrial, agricultural, commercial, craft and tourist activity. The textile industry, which has played an ever-present role in the history of Panissières, has shaped the town's typical architecture, with its many workshops and manor houses. As well as offering a multitude of walks, Panissières has a picturesque heritage as diverse as the monorail and the Tie and Textile Museum.

Feurs
From our hotel, you can explore Feurs, a charming town with its bridge over the Loire, its Gothic church in the centre and the few remains of its Gallo-Roman forum on the Place de la Boaterie. Fans of the region will not want to miss a visit to the Château de Feurs museum, which will plunge them into the region's fascinating past.
